I’m Daisy May Ingamells Gawirra. I’m a proud 10 year old Wirangu adopted into Wagilak girl. I learnt to paint from my Mari’mu and Mair (adopted grandfather and maternal grandmother). Mari’mu uses white, black, ochre and red, with grass paint brushes. Mair uses water colour and posca texters. I paint about myself, my dreamings, loves, wild life and inspiration I’ve seen. I especially love to paint and draw about animals. I love to make things and hang out with animals. I lived in Gapwyiak for 2 years when I was 3 and left when I was 5.
